Mrs Glamourpuss is a woman of experience – which is to say she is not young. Vibrant? Absolutely. Interesting? Without a doubt. Personality is her forte. But even the most delightful personality needs trusted beauty products. A little tender care goes a long way – and no woman really wants to look like Keith Richards. Regardless of how interesting he may be.

At the recent and rather thrilling Buy My Wardrobe Event, special guests like myself  were given rather lovely goody bags. A range of samples from Oskia were included. In all honesty, I have not tried them all. But the Get Up & Glow has made a distinct impression. Described as a radiance, energy and protection booster, Get Up & Glow can be worn under your moisturiser or over your makeup. Such a flexible product is a godsend for busy mornings when its easy to get things in the wrong order. If you miss the clean face step, just pop it on after you’re done. Better yet, dab it on your face at 3:30 in the afternoon following the worst meeting of your life. You’ll look refreshed, and ready for the next round.

Get Up & Glow made my skin look brighter and feel slightly firmer to the touch. Which is not to say that in any way Mrs Glamourpuss’ skin sags. Perish the thought. I also felt my foundation went on more smoothly, making my leaving-the-house-for-an-important-meeting face a bit more polished. A little time on Oskia’s site also made me realise how much effort goes into creating natural products. I liked the focus on nourishing and protecting the skin. This is a thoughtful product that’s been developed to solve a particular problem – tired, dull-looking skin.

Like most women I just want to look better than I do. Seeming younger isn’t that important to me. What’s done is done. We must march forward.
